our beautiful gemma ruth turned one on may 14th. i have no clue how that happened. but alas, she has been with us a year already. a perfect wonderful year with our gemma girl.
last weekend we had her big celebration at our house.
we held a shabby chic party for our little lady.
(invite)
it was so fun. it was seriously the most stress-free party i have ever thrown. i think it was because i used all things that i already owned for decor and menu was super fun. i didn't try to throw a huge meal together for everyone. we had dessert and fruit served al fresco.
and now i will give you a smothering of photos from her day.
a big thank you to my sister for photographing the event.
the menu:
(also a big thanks to my sister for coming over the night before
to help me bake, laugh hysterically, and drink wine.)
cake batter fudge (hubba hubba)
lemon sour cream donuts(i only used the glaze from this recipe)
fruit with the best fruit dip ever
(more from our photoshoot tomorrow!!)
CAKE, GLORIOUS CAKE!
we ate, played and enjoyed every minute of celebrating every precious minute gemma has been with us.
